Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.
These detentions follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A toddler aged three was among the those hurt in the event. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
Officers arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault near the location. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Police were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of people hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.
The attack - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
